Ingredients Needed For Our Frozen Brussel Sprouts in the Air Fryer

    Frozen Brussel Sprouts

Where to buy frozen Brussel sprouts?

You can find frozen Brussel sprouts as the name states, in the freezer section of your supermarket. I found mine at my local Kroger.

Tips on buying frozen Brussel sprouts?

Look for PLAIN Brussel sprouts. Food companies can be very sneaky and add in extra ingredients. Always make sure to look at the ingredient label on any frozen vegetable and double check the ingredient list is just the vegetable.

    Olive oil or butter.

I encourage all my clients to use extra LIGHT olive oil. Extra light olive oil has a very mild taste. If you prefer butter, make sure to purchase 100% butter.

    Salt (or seasoning of choice)

I love to use Redmond Real Salt, but please feel free to use your favorite seasonings.

How to Cook Frozen Brussel Sprouts in the Air Fryer.

    • Place frozen Brussel sprouts in air fryer (DO NOT THAW).
    • Spray top with non-stick cooking spray.
    • Air fry (or air crisp) for 20 minutes, being sure to toss halfway through.
    • Remove from the air fryer basket.
    • Toss with 1 tablespoon extra light olive oil and 1 teaspoon Redmond Real Salt.
    • Serve!

Can I use any Air Fryer in this Recipe?

Yes! This recipe will work in all Air Fryers. I have both a Ninja Foodi and a Phillips Air Fryer. Both worked great!

    Storage Tips?

Store cooked Brussel sprouts in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This recipe is also perfect for low carb and keto meal prep.

What Can I Do With This Recipe?

    • Weeknight vegetable side. Add my frozen brussel sprouts in the air fryer to any weeknight meal.
    • Toss with grated parmesan cheese.
    • Serve with my Air Fryer Chicken Tenders.

What are Other Seasonings I Can Add to Cooked Brussel Sprouts?

    • Lemon juice. Squeeze lemon juice on top for a fun twist.
    • Red pepper flakes. Give your Brussel sprouts a kick!
    • Ranch seasoning. Give your Brussel sprouts a fun retro twist.
    • Cajun seasoning. Another Brussel sprouts kick!
    • Crab boil seasoning. Say what? Yes, I do this all the time and it is AMAZING!!!!

No. Thawing the vegetables can make them mushy.

Do You Put Oil in An Air Fryer?

Oil in the air fryer is an interesting discussion. You can USE oil in air fryer recipes, but DO NOT pour oil in an air fryer basket. Look for high smoke point oil sprays for the air fryer. The best oil spray for an air fryer is avocado oil since it’s smoke point is high and can handle the high temperature of the air fryer. You can use olive oil (I often use olive oil in the air fryer) if cooking at a slightly lower temperature 360 or less.

In this recipe, I used Extra Light Olive Oil.
